NAATI Accreditation

Graduate Diploma in Translation Studies
Master of Interpreting and Translation Studies (combined stream)
Master of Interpreting and Translation Studies (translation stream)

The Monash coursework programs are approved by the National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters (NAATI) at the professional level. NAATI is the standards setting body for translation and interpreting in Australia. For more information on NAATI accreditation, please visit www.naati.com.au.

A student who successfully completes the course and meets all the requirements, can be recommended by Monash University for NAATI accreditation. This means that each year Monash will send NAATI a list with the names of eligible candidates. Once eligible students have completed their course, they will need to apply to NAATI for the award of the accreditation. Graduates who are eligible for accreditation must submit their application to NAATI within 12 months of the date on their degree.

Please note: students who do not satisfy the NAATI accreditation requirements, can still graduate (provided they satisfy the course requirements) and may take the NAATI test at a later date.
