Psychology
Why study psychology?
Students studying psychology develop an understanding of psychology as a science, but also come to appreciate the role psychology plays within wider society. Psychology is concerned with a wide range of phenomena, including:
- remembering and forgetting
- thinking
- learning
- problem solving
- how we communicate
- emotions
- social interactions
While the focus is on people, the course also includes the study of animal behaviour. The Psychology major is accredited with the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council.
