2005 Faculty of Arts Award for Excellence in Higher Degree by Research Supervision
The 2005 recipients of the Faculty of Arts Award for Excellence
in Higher Degree by Research Supervision were Dr Heather Bowe from
the Linguistics section of the School of Languages, Cultures and
Linguistics and Professor Graham Oppy from the Philosophy section
of the School of Philosophy and Bioethics. Both Dr Bowe's and
Professor Oppy's nominations came with glowing reports from their
students, past and present.

$1.1 million by the Commission of the European Union to expand its
existing Centre for European Studies into a Centre for European and
European Union studies.
