Past Graduates - Belinda Dooley, GIS Officer/Nutrient Management Officer
Blinda Dooley graduated with Honours from the School of Geography and Environmental Science (BSc(Env))in 1999. The technical basis of her honours thesis studies was GIS, and the conceptual underpinnings referred to hydrology and sampling theory. Briefly, after graduation, she worked on Christmas Island with the "land crab and crazy ants" research team. Since then she has been employed with the Victorian Department of Natural Resources and Environment in the Colac/Otways/Geelong region. Belinda works as a GIS officer and a Nutrient Management Officer for the Salinity and Land Management Team. Exciting projects include investigating the impacts of unsealed roads on water quality, the trials and tribulations of influencing industry behaviour and practices, and investigating the impacts of irrigation systems on sediment transfer within Domestic Water Supply Catchments.
