Communications and Media Studies - 2007 Student Award Winners
Sarah Gorman was the winner of both the 2007 Best Honours Thesis Prize and the 2007 Best Overall Honours Result Prize.
The Best Thesis Prize is awarded to the student with the highest moderated Honours thesis mark. The Best Overall Honours Result Prize is awarded to the student receiving the highest overall Honours percentage according to the formula: moderated thesis mark (50%), coursework unit #1 percentage (25%) and coursework unit #2 percentage (25%). It is by no means a foregone conclusion therefore that both awards go to the same student. Thus Sarah has achieved a truly excellent result in winning both prizes in their second year of offering.
The Best Honours Thesis Prize carries an award of a $100 gift voucher from the Monash University Bookshop. The Best Overall Honours Result Prize carries an award of a $200 gift voucher from the Monash University Bookshop. Award certificates will also be presented to the winner.
