Important Information for Enrolling Students

The Chinese Studies Program conducts diagnostic placement tests to ensure that new students enrol at the level most appropriate for their current language proficiency.

Placement Testing for 2010 will be held:

Date: Monday 22 February 2010
Time: 13.00–16.00 (Testing takes approximately 30 minutes)
Venue: Menzies Building 11, Room E457

If you wish to enrol in first semester and have never studied Chinese before you can enrol directly in Chinese 1 (CHI1010/2010) and do not need to sit for a placement test.

If you have previously studied Chinese, either formally at school, or informally, or have Chinese language background, you are required to undergo a placement test and/or interview in order to obtain enrolment approval.
